This is fantastic, as always. I can’t add much as far as discourse goes since I’ve only read very few of the fantasy works mentioned but I’ve enjoyed this exploration nonetheless.
Interestingly, Lewis also wrote a book that strongly relates to Cupid and Psyche. It's called Till We Have Faces. I read it in my early teens, which was far too young to fully understand the novel. But from what I can remember, it was good.
